Taiwan's Minister of Education, Pan Wen-chung, announced on Wednesday (Sept. 8) that by 2024, 60 percent of primary and junior high schools will have immersive language settings for English instruction. According to CNA, Pan told reporters that the government will begin allowing schools to use English in non-language subjects in 2021. 

The future of teaching English in Taiwan is looking bright with more foreign teachers than ever expected in the country by next year.
