Interested in teaching English in Europe but don’t know where to start?
English Wizards is now recruiting Language Assistants to work in private schools, preschools, and language centers all over Poland.
This program is designed to help young, outgoing native English teachers gain a first-hand, paid teaching experience in the heart of Central Europe.
As a Language Assistant, you will be teaching conversational “real world” English to small classes of kids for up to 20 hours per week. You will typically have your own small class and will be supported by a head teacher. This makes being a Language Assistant an excellent opportunity for teachers to gain experience running a class, while still being free from the extra stress, responsibilities, and duties of a full-time teacher.
We offer placements on a rolling basis, with the majority of our placements starting in September/October and January/February. We review applications year-round, so you are welcome to apply at any time.
At the very minimum, we require a commitment of one semester, however we give a strong preference to applicants who are willing to commit for an entire academic year.
If you are not an EU citizen, keep in mind that the visa process takes a minimum of 6 weeks, so be sure to apply early.
For non-EU citizens, the deadline to apply for a Fall start is September 1st.
**If you are not a native speaker, you must also hold an EU passport or otherwise have permission to work in Poland. We are only able to obtain work visas for native speakers.
A Bachelor’s Degree is not required to teach English in Poland.
